Currents of Chicago is a public art installation projected across the 2.5-acre façade of THE MART. The 9 minute animated piece follows a single animated dot as it travels through the story of Chicago using Bauhaus-inspired design and energized by the beat of Chicago House music.

The story captures Chicago’s ongoing transformation, where design grows from culture and culture grows from community. The city becomes a place not just built, but continuously made and remade through movement, expression, and shared imagination.
